Willis Group Holdings has recruited Simon Hornby, managing director of Global Risk Partners, with the company becoming part of the Willis group.

The Miami-based management consultancy specialises in reducing clients' operational risk exposures in cash-in-transit, high-value cargo, mining, banking and logistics.

Global Risk Partners, which will retain its name, is to become part of Willis Global Specialties division, which also includes Willis' fine art, jewellery and specie units.

Willis Global Specialties division chief executive Chris London said: “Simon is a highly respected leader in an area where we see good growth opportunities. He brings tremendous experience and professionalism to this specialist field and shares Willis's client-focussed philosophy and culture.

“Moreover, retaining the Global Risk Partners brand while accessing Willis global resources and expertise will further enhance Global Risk Partners' service to its clients and, in turn, broaden Willis's own offering.”
