Crystal ball gazers RIAS managed to sucessfuly pre-empt Alistair Darling’s budget with a very special offer.
Over-50s proficient with the internet can complete a home insurance quote on RIAS’s website and bag themselves £25 of “top quality” wines from Averys (well, £25 off if they put in a £70 order).
“With a hefty tax increase on alcohol in this month’s Budget, wine lovers can also take advantage of the exclusive spring pre-Budget bin-ends sale,” RIAS said days before the Chancellor spoke.
Unfortunately, there are no plans for discounts on White Lightning, Stella and cigarettes.
