XL London Market (XLLM) has appointed XLLM underwriters Colin Sprott and Michael Talbot as marine deputy underwriter and hull class underwriters, respectively, for Syndicate 1209.
Sprott will oversee all marine classes for the syndicate, reporting to active underwriter Paul Drake and to Steve Cullen, head of XL Insurance's marine and offshore energy division.
Sprott will also continue in his role as class underwriter for the marine and energy liabilities account. He joined XLLM in 1999.
Talbot will have responsibility for an account covering marine hulls and associated interests, and will report to Sprott.
Talbot joined XLLM in September 2001 as deputy hull underwriter, having been deputy underwriter at Syndicate 483.
