Bermuda-based XL Insurance (XLIB) has promoted Sherron Williams to chief underwriting officer of its Bermuda-based professional liability business.

Williams will take up her role with effect from 1 June 2004. She will be responsible for overseeing XLIB’s second largest portfolio of business and a team of 17.

Williams will replace Paul Miller who has decided to end his Bermuda role by the end of the year, said the company.

Williams joined XLIB, a subsidiary of XL Capital, in 1991 as a trainee underwriter.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
