Agreement extended to personal lines business

Accenture has expanded its existing application outsourcing agreement with RSA to include implementation of the Accenture Insurance Solution — Accenture’s property and casualty product and policy management system — across RSA UK’s personal lines business.

The implementation of the new IT system is part of RSA UK’s broader business transformation program and represents a major investment by the insurer to enhance its product offerings and web presence.

Under the original contract, signed in 2003 and which continues to the end of 2012, Accenture has been providing development, implementation and ongoing maintenance services for RSA UK’s IT applications, including those related to customer relationship management, claims processing, commercial lines product, policy management and back-office operations.

Accenture has also been implementing Accenture Insurance Solution and Accenture Claim Components Solution, Accenture’s insurance-specific software solutions, to help RSA UK create new strategic IT platforms for commercial lines policy management and claims handling.

RSA's UK chief information officer James de Watteville said: “The expanded agreement reflects Accenture’s role as a reliable business partner to RSA, and the extension of our successful relationship defines a new wave of investment that will help RSA deliver significant cost reductions, while providing the basis for profitable top-line growth."

Steve Fowler, a senior executive in Accenture’s Financial Services practice, said: “We look forward to continuing to deliver best-in-class outsourcing, management and technology consulting and systems integration services to RSA, and through this new agreement help RSA strengthen its position as a leader in the UK insurance market.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
