Nuneaton company Archive Imaging is launching two new software products into the UK that will enable businesses to store large volumes of information cheaply for decades.

The two products are Image Manager Information Software (IMIS) - a PC-based document management system - and Document Access.net - a document management system that operates on the internet.

Archive Imaging managing director Paul Negus said: "In the past, information management systems for archiving have been expensive. Now Archive Imaging is launching two new products that make corporate data archives relatively inexpensive, and therefore viable for thousands of businesses."

IMIS acts an electronic filing cabinet, able to store information from different software programs, such as Excel or Access, and from different sources, such as paper or microfilm.

Negus said IMIS would be ideal for solicitors, accountants insurance brokers and other businesses that needed to store large amounts of information for periods of up to 50 years.

Document Access.net, which was originally designed for insurance loss adjustors, allows the user to upload images and files on to a web site so that any authorised user can gain access to them anywhere in the world.

The two products are to be launched on 25 and 26 June 2002.
