Brit, the UK-based international general insurer and reinsurer, has appointed former Swiss Re underwriter John Bryce to strenghten its onshore energy division.
Bryce has worked as an onshore oil, gas and petrochemicals property underwriter since 1982, initially with International Oil Insurers, whose portfolio was acquired by Swiss Re in 1999.
Mike Sibthorpe, Brit Insurance's London Market underwriting director, said: “John brings with him years of experience in the energy market and we are delighted to welcome him on board. His focus at Brit Insurance will be on our onshore account and his arrival will further strengthen what is already an experienced team in that market.”
