Capita Insurance Services has lost another loss adjusting account with the defection of Teachers Assurance to QuestGates and Cunningham Lindsey.

The property liability and subsidence account transferred without a formal tender but with outstanding cases.

QuestGates managing director Chris Hall said: "We are delighted to have been appointed to this panel. Our account director, Ross Macpherson, has enjoyed a long relationship with Teachers and the appointment is evidence of the insurer's
need for a loss adjuster that is focused on providing a quality technical service and that recognises the importance of personal relationships."

Teachers Assurance is thought to be one of Capita's longest standing accounts, having been part of Mclarens Toplis before the takeover by Capita.

Questgates has completed the roll-out of its national branch network with the opening of its Bristol office.
