Broker using new software

Lockton has selected SSP as its IT partner for its retail and professions business in the UK.

The broker reviewed its existing broking systems to improve business performance and rationalise the number of IT systems. Under the agreement Lockton has transferred 100 additional users to SSP’s broking solution, making them the primary systems partner.

"Driving top-line growth and serving clients are key priorities for Lockton," said Simon Coleman, chief operating officer at Lockton. "With SSP, not only do we achieve a lower cost of ownership, but more importantly we have quicker and easier access to client data, allowing our associates to make decisions that positively impact service levels. SSP understands the insurance industry inside-out and is a valued business partner, not just an IT provider and we will achieve superior business and operational performance via our continued partnership with them."

David Waring, SSP’s group sales director, said: “We are pleased that Lockton has selected SSP for its Retail and Professions business, extending our long-standing relationship. Greater access to customer data is key for businesses to improve customer relationship management and business processes and is fundamental for long-term success. This agreement illustrates that insurance organisations can significantly improve their operational efficiency and achieve measurable cost savings by streamlining their existing IT systems.”
