Misys will hold a series of roadshows to launch its OASys commercial lines broking software.

The 21 roadshows will begin on 16 September in Belfast and will run until mid-November in locations across the UK and Ireland.

The roadshows will also give brokers advice on how technology can help them with FSA regulation.

Misys General Insurances sales and marketing director James Gamble said: "This year is important to us, not only because of the number of new products and initiatives we have developed, but also because of FSA regulation."

Misys is also in talks with several of its brokers to pilot the OASys system, which allows brokers to electronically transmit risk information to insurers, in September and October. It is still talking to insurers about enhancing OASys by connecting the electronic data to their quotation systems.

OASys gives brokers simplified data capture screens and generic forms to allow for single data entry, and the transfer of risk information to insurers is automated. "Risk information is input only once, but can be sent to a number of insurers - reducing costs for both broker and insurer," Gamble said.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
