Moorhouse Group said it is bucking the commercial broker trend by launching personal lines cover for its clients.
Moorhouse Personal will initially be sold to existing clients.
The company said it would be working with a panel of major insurers to develop bespoke policy wordings and ratings.
The broker is currently test-marketing Moorhouse Personal private motor and household to existing clients and said it has been encouraged by the initial interest.
Profit margins are estimated to be “fairly low”, and the product is expected to encourage existing commercial clients to use Moorhouse as it reduces the need to shop around for cover.
