Acturis has revealed that it teamed up with Direct Line Group (DLG) to help the insurer provide cover to the Motability Scheme.

In a statement released yesterday (7 November 2023), the software house said it designed and implemented the policy administration platform utilised by DLG and that initial migration of around 700,000 individual policy records was successfully completed.

DLG started providing insurance to the Motability Scheme on 1 September 2023 in a bid to grow its motor customer base.

In this six weeks since, the insurer has completed nearly 300,000 customer and policy transactions via Acturis application programming interfaces (APIs).

Theo Duchen, Acturis cochief executive, said: “This is one of the biggest single projects undertaken by Acturis, with our engaged partner DLG.

“The project underlines our expertise in this arena and our ability to perform at scale within tight timelines.”

Solutions

The Acturis solution comprises of an agent portal for administrating policy changes and an automated print fulfilment solution.

It also includes a DLG hosted customer portal and Motability Scheme policy feed.
