’His experience gives him a unique perspective that will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and evolve our SME proposition,’ says managing director

Aviva has appointed Chris Whiting as its new head of SME optimisation.

Whiting will be responsible for shaping and delivering Aviva’s digital strategy across the SME business, strengthening broker relationships and continuing to bring new digital propositions to market.

He will report to Rebecca Gambrell, managing director of SME and delegated authorities.

She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Whiting as our new head of SME optimisation.

“His experience gives him a unique perspective that will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and evolve our SME proposition.”

Experience

Whiting has been at Aviva since 2017, most recently working alongside Dave Martin as business manager for Aviva’s distribution and commercial business.

His promotion supports Aviva’s growth plans for the SME business.

Gambrell said: ”With nine years’ experience at Aviva across distribution, most recently as business manager to the MD commercial lines and chief distribution officer, he brings deep expertise, strong relationships and a brilliant understanding of how we can continue to elevate the SME experience.”
