‘Brokers told us their SME clients want a minifleet policy that grows with them,’ says managing director
Aviva has expanded the scope of its existing minifleet product, allowing brokers to place up to 20 vehicles at new business, rising to 30 for mid-term and renewing customers.

Aviva said the product – available to brokers through the firm’s Fast Trade online platform – is aimed at providing protection to small fleets, including cars, vans, forklifts, agricultural vehicles and heavy goods vehicles.
As part of expanding the scope of the product, a number of smaller changes have been made following broker feedback, including copy-and-paste support for multiple registration inputs, use of third-party Carweb data to minimise question set length and automatic operator registration prompting and support for commercial vehicles over 3,500kg.
Aviva also reported that enchantments to “pricing sophistication and rating flexibility” had been made, using data to better assess the maintenance levels and driving quality of small fleets.
The cover continues to support no-claims discounts conversions for individual drivers and Confirmed Claims Experience (CCE) ratings for two-vehicle risks.
Broker feedback
Rebecca Gambrell, managing director for SME and delegated authorities at Aviva, said: “Brokers told us their SME clients want a minifleet policy that grows with them, is simple to place and backed by consistent, long‑term pricing.

“We’ve listened and will continue to evolve our minifleet proposition based on broker feedback, as well as the knowledge and experience, we’ve built in this digital space across the last 14 years.
“Expanding to 20 vehicles at new business – with the flexibility to move beyond that at renewal – is just the latest example of how we’ve built a proposition that brokers have trusted for years.”
