’It’s a great honour to be stepping up to chief executive at Hedron,’ says new appointee

Chris Haggart has stepped down from his role as chief executive at Brown and Brown-owned Hedron Network (Hedron) to join Broker Investment Group as group chief executive.

Hedron has appointed Duncan Pagan as the new chief executive at Hedron. Pagan will report to Mike Bruce, with his appointment subject to regulatory approval.

Commenting on his new role, Haggart said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of group chief executive at The Broker Investment Group.

”This is a business with big ambition, a clear vision and a fantastic track record of backing great brokers to grow. I’ve spent my career working closely with brokers across the UK, helping them sharpen their focus, seize opportunities and build stronger businesses.

”The Broker Investment Group is perfectly placed to make a real difference in our market and I can’t wait to get started with such a talented and driven team.”

Stepping up

New Hedron boss Pagan previously held the role of managing director at Bluefin Networks, before it became Hedron after the business was acquired by Marsh from Brown and Brown in 2021.

Pagan said: “It’s a great honour to be stepping up to chief executive at Hedron.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to build on the solid work that has been done to reshape the network post-acquisition and I look forward to working with my brilliant colleagues across Hedron to move the business into the next phase of its development”.

Mike Bruce, chief executive at Brown and Brown Europe, said: “Pagan has been a pivotal leader in networks for over 20 years and brings to the role an extensive knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing network brokers.

”I’m pleased that we have been able to appoint from within, which is a testament to the strength of the team across Hedron.

“Our partners across Hedron, both brokers and suppliers, have already benefitted from the presence of such a seasoned professional in our team and I am confident he will guide Hedron through the next chapter of growth.”
