’The partnership with Biba strengthens our ability to engage directly with the grassroots of the broking sector,’ says managing director

Insurance research consultancy Gracechurch has launched the Voice of the Broker Champions Council initiative, aimed at enhancing collaboration and influence within the broking community.

The initiative is part of the Voice of the Broker research programme and has been conducted in partnership with Biba.

Ben Bolton, managing director at Gracechurch, said: “The partnership with Biba strengthens our ability to engage directly with the grassroots of the broking sector.”

Nominated champions

The initiative allows organisations to nominate team members as champions, giving them a platform to contribute to discussions within the insurance sector.

Nominated champions will then participate in think-tank sessions and roundtables, promoting the Voice of the Broker programme within their organisations and beyond.

They will also provide insights on industry trends, contributing to their company’s strategic planning.

The first cohort of champions includes brokers from a wide range of intermediaries, including Vaughn Braithwaite of SWIB, Sam Johnson of Risk Box, Aisha Lovegrove of WRS Insurance, Brandon Naylor of Attis, Lee Godson of Berkeley Insurance Group, Hilton Jonga of Lansdowne, Ben Macrow of Thomas Carroll and Sean Moore of D L Moore.

Bolton added: “By creating this network, we are building a group of forward-thinking leaders who can drive change and innovation throughout the industry.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
