Thomas – who has been at the firm for almost eight years – will be responsible for underwriting strategy across Zurich UK’s property and casualty business.

Founded in 2002 and led by James Osman, Commercial Risks specialises in placing complex and specialist risks into Lloyd’s and company markets.

Rob Organ’s succession by Clive Buesnel as Jensten Group chief executive also made waves in the market, after the former stepped down following two years in charge of the group. 

Buesnel will succeed him on 2 November 2026. He joins from Insurance Advisory Partners, where he is international managing partner.
