Hiscox UK has appointed Anish Jadav as its new chief underwriting officer.

In his new role, Jadav will shape the underwriting strategy of the UK retail business and lead a team of specialist UK-based underwriters.
He will also join the board of Hiscox Insurance Company, which oversees its UK retail operations and the Hiscox Group underwriting leadership team.
Based in London, Jadav reports to Hiscox UK chief executive Jon Dye.
Dye said: “I’m delighted to welcome Jadav to the business, he joins at a time of great momentum and positive change.
“Jadav will work closely with our teams in distribution, operations and the wider Hiscox Group to drive the adoption of analytics and emerging technologies that enhance the underwriting process and unlock new growth opportunities.”
Experience
Jadav replaces Ben Horton, who became global head of propositions at Hiscox last year. Pete Treloar was interim UK chief underwriting officer in between.

Jadav joins from Axa XL, where he was chief underwriting officer for its retail property and casualty business.
Prior to this, he held several positions at Zurich, most recently chief underwriting officer of Zurich Ireland.
