Lauren Bagley, chief distribution officer at Uinsure, discusses her firm’s entry to the Business Partner of the Year category

1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the category?

Our success comes entirely through partnership. Over the past 24 months, our distribution has accelerated rapidly as more banks, building societies and intermediaries have chosen to embed our data-led insurance technology into their customer journeys.

In collaboration with our partners, we’re redefining how insurance is bought in the UK by making it part of existing financial experiences, not a separate transaction.

We entered Business Partner of the Year to recognise the shared success this approach is already delivering at scale.

2. What makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?

We’re a partner-led organisation and, therefore, we only exist for them and their customers. The evolution of our turnkey model, which enables our partners to operationalise an end-to-end insurance experience fast, seamlessly and with proven scalability has led us to secure partnerships with five of the UK’s top 10 building societies as well as major banks and mortgage intermediaries.

Partnerships mean everything to our business. Successful and long-standing relationships rely entirely on our razor-sharp focus of their customer needs and outcomes, market competitiveness and use of digital and data to unlock the power of their trusted brands.

3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

Our vision is to change the way insurance is bought in the UK by embedding in everyday partner journeys and engaging helpfully with customers where they already are and in the moments they need it.

Winning this award would recognise our unwavering commitment to be a true extension of our partners’ brands. It would celebrate how far we’ve already come in achieving this and reinforce our passion to keep driving forward, making insurance simpler, more trusted and more connected for millions of customers.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
