MCE moves quickly following Sabre deal to secure another business arrangement

MCE has struck a deal with classic and specialist car broker Adrian Flux to transfer private vehicle new business and renewals into the broker.

The deal follows on closely from MCE partnering with Sabre Insurance - the insurer has now taken on motorcycle renewals and new business that was previously placed into MCE’s Gibraltar-based MGA.

MCE chief executive Julian Edwards told Insurance Times: ”We have agreed a deal with Adrian Flux where [we] will be transferring renewal and new business to Adrian Flux.

”We will be reviewing it in 2022 and [will] decide whether to expand back into it or continue to work with Adrian Flux.

“We have great synergies with [Adrian Flux. It has] the consumer right at the forefront. [It is] the benchmark brand.”

MCE has been reacting quickly after putting out a notice on 5 November 2021 that it was seeking a new provider for renewals and new business. The Gibraltar regulator had placed some restrictions on MCE’s in-house MGA.
