’This partnership allows us to deliver a tailored, data-driven product that supports landlords in protecting both their property and rental income,’ says distribution director

Markerstudy Distribution-owned Swinton has added specialist MGA Arkel to its panel of non-standard insurers to strengthen its landlord insurance proposition.

In this partnership, Arkel’s premier let product – designed for landlords seeking comprehensive protection for their assets and income – is available to all Swinton landlord customers via the software house Acturis platform.

Arkel added its premier let product to Acturis in June 2025 following the announcement that Applied Systems were retracting its Epic proposition from the UK.

Ant Sherlock, distribution director at Arkel, said: “We’re delighted to join Swinton’s landlord panel with our premier let product.

”Swinton’s scale, reputation and customer reach align perfectly with Arkel’s ambition to make specialist insurance more accessible and digitally enabled. This partnership allows us to deliver a tailored, data-driven product that supports landlords in protecting both their property and rental income.”

What does it cover?

The product offers cover for buildings sum insured up to £1m and contents sum insured up to £50,000, as well as property owners’ liability of up to £2m.

Vinny Fahy, head of insurer relations at Markerstudy Distribution, said: “We’re excited to welcome Arkel to our insurer panel.

”Their expertise in non-standard and specialist home insurance enhances our ability to serve landlords with more bespoke solutions. With the addition of Arkel’s premier let offering to our product portfolio, we are cementing our commitment to giving customers choice, value and confidence with their cover.”
