This week, Allianz announced plans to restructure its management layers, following the stepping down of Nick Hobbs as chief distribution officer.

In a statement made to Insurance Times, the firm said that it would be ”helping our people through this process, providing a range of support and advice and consulting with employee representative bodies about these changes”.

In more redundancy news, Intact Insurance has let go of its head of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), Gemma Jackson, after nearly 20 years at the firm.

Intact said that responsibility for DEI will now be led by Sarah Mantle-Gray, chief human resources officer.

Meanwhile, CFC appointed Chris Loake as its new chief information officer. Loake, who joins in November 2026, will be responsible for driving the technology strategy that underpins CFC’s long-term vision.

And in the MGA sector, Moonrock Insurance appointed Rory Galloway as its new chief data and actuarial officer. Galloway said he was “delighted to be joining Moonrock at such an exciting stage of its growth”.

Finally, bringing an end to a big week for people moves, MGA Qlaims announced the appointment of Maisie Burwood as senior partnerships success manager, a move that forms part of the company’s wider strategy to deepen long-term relationships with brokers and networks.
