CFC has appointed Chris Loake as its new chief information officer.

Loake, who joins in November 2026, will be responsible for driving the technology strategy that underpins CFC’s long-term vision and digital distribution capabilities.

He joins from insurer Hiscox, where he served as group chief information officer and led its global technology transformation.

John Howard, chair at CFC, said: “Loake has an exceptional track record of building world class technology, data and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

Experience

Loake has more than 20 years’ experience across insurance, banking and financial services, having previously held senior technology leadership roles at C Hoare and Co, Close Brothers and Experian.

He is also a non-executive director at Companies House, the UK government agency.

Spekaing about taking up his new role, Loake said: “CFC has established itself as a technology leader in specialty insurance, operating in a part of the market where there is huge scope for continued innovation.
