‘I’m really looking forward to working with the team to identify new opportunities to support its continued growth,’ says new appointee

Independent motor insurance collective Drive Further has appointed Rob Crashley as its new head of business development.

The collective – which operates an end-to-end motor protection service through its partnership with Financial and Legal Insurance, MSL, Supportis, Magnus Insurance Services and Dualdrive – said Crashley will hold the position across its Financial and Legal and MSL firms.

Crashley joins the businesses from The AA, where he has spent the past 15 years holding a series of leadership positions, including senior product manager for motor insurance, legal services and accident response, senior product manager for motor, home and legal and latterly head of products.

In his previous role, Crashley’s teams were “responsible for fair value, customer outcomes and new product development” across the core product remits, alongside a portfolio of ancillary offerings including personal accident, home emergency and excess protection.

Extensive experience

Drive Further highlighted his “extensive experience in developing strategic relationships with solicitors and ancillary providers, using data to identify commercial opportunities, enhance outcomes and improve the customer experience”.

The new appointee said: “I’m really looking forward to working with the team to identify new opportunities to support its continued growth.

“My career has been focused on using customer and commercial insight to identify opportunities for growth, improve customer outcomes and build strong, long-term partnerships and I’m excited to bring that experience to Drive Further.”
