Prudential will allow Vodafone users to obtain a motor insurance quote through their WAP phones.
Prudential Financial Services ecommerce head Jaz Saggu said the new offer was part of the Pru's stategy for its customers to choose from multiple communication channels.
“We designed this service for today's mobile users who've caught on to text messaging and realise the convenience of this communication,” Saggu said.
“Users will be able to get a mobile quote via their mobile phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
He said the new service could be operated in complete silence, which meant it could be used in public places.
