Motor insurers felt the impact of the recent cold weather, but breakdown services were possibly hit harder.
They received calls to move cars stuck in the snow, which fell very heavily and suddenly, and was forecast to spread across the country.
Councils are always blamed, but what about the drivers themselves?
When bad weather is forecast, why aren't we reminded to put a shovel in the boot with a couple of spare blankets and a length of rope?
Nature has little regard for human efforts, eh!
