Regency buys rivalWeston-Super-Mare-based Regency Insurance Brokers has acquired rival local broker RT Moore. Regency said it would be retaining the RT Moore name for the acquired business. FSA complaintsFormer principal ombudsman for the personal investment authority, Sir Anthony Holland, has been appointed as the independent complaints commissioner for the FSA. Holland will replace Rosemary Radcliffe who has been complaints commissioner since September 2001. Holland's appointment will take affect from 3 September 2004. The commissioner's remit includes the power to investigate allegations of mistakes and lack of care, unreasonable delay, unprofessional behaviour, bias and lack of integrity.(First published on 16 July)
