The president of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (Cila) Andy King has left his role at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) due to Sarbanes Oxley imposed restrictions.
The Sarbanes Oxley Act imposes strict corporate governance rules on companies in the US.
King was director of the insurance claims services division at PWC.
He said because of the restrictions imposed by SEC rules implementing the Sarbanes Oxley Act, the role of developing a major loss facility action for insurers within PWC was constrained.
King said he was now considering his career options.
