Water damage restoration firm Munters is introducing a 'Drying Certificate', which it expects to set an industry standard, to help flood victims prove their properties are dry.

The certificate will guarantee that a property has been dried out to moisture levels that existed before a flood or leak damage. This will reassure prospective house buyers who are wary of buying properties which have been flooded in the past.

The certificates will be available to the insurance company, loss adjuster or the insured.

Customer relations manager Denice Honour said: "Munters has the technical ability to guarantee that a property is dry. The certificates are of particular value to an insured if they were intending to sell the property and needed to guarantee that previous flooding or water damage had been rectified by a reputable company."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
