Seminars on risk-based auditing will be held at London's Cumberland Hotel on July 5-6. The seminar will concentrate on developing more focused audit plans, improving audit performance and practising high-productivity techniques. Business Risk Management managing director Phil Griffiths will lead the seminars, which will be repeated on September 27-28.

All go for Algo
Algorithmics Incorporated has launched a operational risk management solution, through its work with Halifax. The product, called Algo Oprisk, was designed to meet Halifax's need for a progressive approach to controlling operational risk. It builds on the existing Algo Watchdog product by combining it with Also Opdata, which is a data infrastructure for losses, near-misses, issues and key risk indicators.

Singapore deal
UK risk management consultancy Alan Waring & Associates (AWA) has signed a deal with Singapore's Zuellig Insurance Brokers (ZIB). The 40-strong AWA team will work exclusively for the brokers in Singapore and other south-east Asian territories, following almost a year of negotiations. ZIB has a risk management services division and works with major industrial, technological and transportation companies.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
