MMA Insurance plc (MMA) has launched a home insurance product designed for more affluent homeowners with higher than average requirements.

MMA Insurance plc (MMA) has launched home insurance policy MMA Lifestyle - designed for more affluent homeowners with higher than average requirements not met by other standard home insurance offering.

The product from the intermediary-only insurer will be available on full cycle EDI through Misys Financial Systems in February following on from the announcement of its strategic partnership with Misys' Countryside network.

MMA Marketing and Underwriting director Derek Plummer said: "We developed MMA Lifestyle in direct response to feedback from our brokers for a product with wider cover and higher limits than our standard range. This product will bridge the gap between standard cover and High Net Worth solutions."

In addition 'quote only' is available on three other software houses - Sirius, CDL and SSP. Future roll out of a full cycle EDI capability with these software houses is planned for the coming months.

Designed for customers' properties with rebuilding costs up to £750,000 and contents cover up to a maximum of £120,000 - MMA Lifestyle offers an enhanced no claims discount of five years rather than a market average of three to four years.

The company, which began trading in 1958, views its market as a growing sector especially as disposable incomes are increasing. In 2002 the group's worldwide premium income was £2.7 billion.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
