Warnings at risk

As we all know, risk management is a bit of a buzz at the moment, and so it proved at the Manchester Midland Crowne Plaza hotel where we were staying.

But how many brokers noted that Kellogg's had done an appraisal in respect of its Crunchy Nut Cornflakes which we had at breakfast at the hotel? Did anyone spot the warning that "this product may contain traces of nut"?

Then driving home down the M40 I stopped at the Moto services.

In the gents I went to use the hand soap only to find the container had a symbol on it advising all users that the contents were "corrosive".

Is the risk management nature now gone so far as to belittle the messages one reads on products?
