Lloyd's Kinnect chairman and head of business process reform Iain Saville has appointed Andy Brookes as his deputy.

Brookes will be deputy-head of business process reform. He is an ex-colleague of Saville's from the Bank of England, where he was head of division, responsible for UK high value payment systems. Prior to this position, he helped to establish the electronic security settlement system at CREST.

Welcoming the appointment, Saville said: “Andy has outstanding credentials to play a central role in the key task of delivering more efficient and cost effective processes to the Lloyd's market, where much progress is already underway.

"He has a proven ability to mobilise markets to work together on critical market reforms. His appointment is a further demonstration of Lloyd's determination in this area.

Brookes said: “I am very much looking forward to working in the Lloyd's market as part of the business process reform team. Market practitioners are clear that reform is needed to improve efficiency and reduce risk in the market.

"The commitment of both Lloyd's and the wider market is demonstrated by the successful launch of Kinnect and the London Market Principles initiative on the slip.

"With a recognised need for change, a profitable market and dedicated resources to drive change, now is an excellent time to make further progress.
