Insurewithease.com launches with travel product

An insurance website has launched with the aim of becoming one of the top personal lines insurers by 2010.

Insurewithease.com will launch in November 2007, opening its insurance portfolio with travel insurance products – single trip, backpacker and annual multi-trip.

Jack Harris, operations director at Insurewithease.com, said: "We're launching with our travel insurance products but we will very quickly become a multi-product offering with pet insurance coming online in early 2008, and motor and home by next summer."

The company said the website and quote system had been carefully developed to meet the objective of offering its customers 'less clicks, more cover'. This has meant creating a highly intuitive question system, clear policy layouts, and tiered product offerings that will allow customers to opt out of certain elements of cover and individually tailor their own policies, it added.

Harris said: "We have invested in our systems and products, and we are investing in our brand as it is extremely important to us. It's essential for Insurewithease to project a personality, and for people to become familiar with our high value products and informative service.

"Growing the brand as well as the products will ensure that people come back to the site and will enable us to generate customer persistency. This will in turn allow us to reach our aim of creating a product portfolio worth £25m by 2010."

Insurewithease.com's travel products are underwritten by NIG, with claims handling conducted by ONE Claims and Assist.

He continued:: "We've pulled together some of the best players in the market to create market leading products and service for our customers.

"Some insurance sites launch with minimal investment in their website and their policies, and minimal information for their customers. This is irresponsible and serves to perpetuate a lack of consumer awareness of the importance of insurance.

"As an industry we need to foster trust and respect for our products, and build an awareness of the key aspects that consumers should be aware of when buying insurance, to ensure that they are not buying blindly."
