Aston Lark has made four acquisitions this month – its latest purchase precedes a rebrand for its Irish division

Aston Lark has made another acquisition, this time buying North County Brokers, based in Balbriggan, County Dublin.

North County Brokers will initially be brought into Aston Lark Group under commercial broker Robertson Low - however, this is a temporary step as Robertson Low and Wright Insurance Brokers will be rebranded as Aston Lark Ireland in April 2021.

Peter Blanc, Aston Lark Group’s chief executive, said: “I’m delighted to see Rob Kennedy and his team in Ireland complete their first acquisition.

“We’re backing them to become Ireland’s first choice acquirer of high-quality brokers and I’m really excited to see what they can achieve. We’re very pleased to welcome John [Horan] and his team to the Aston Lark fold.”

This deal marks the eighth acquisition for Aston Lark this year, and the fourth this month alone.

Exciting journey ahead

North County Brokers was established in 1999. It offers independent advice to businesses across a broad range of insurance and risk management services, specialising in technology and communications, manufacturing, import and distribution and motor trade.

Aston Lark Ireland’s chief executive Robert Kennedy added that he was thrilled to have North County Brokers on board.

He said: “[Horan] and the team have built a great business over the last 20 years, rightly earning a fantastic reputation for their expertise and the service they provide to their clients.

“This is the start of an exciting journey for Aston Lark in Ireland as we rebrand next month.

”With further deal announcements imminent, we are on track to realise our ambition of becoming Ireland’s leading independent insurance broker.”

Meanwhile, Horan, North County Brokers’ managing director, said the broker is delighted to now be a part of the Aston Lark Group as it looks forward to growing and developing the business for the benefit of customers and staff alike.

“We feel we share many traits and synergies with the Aston Lark Group and are excited to expand our potential into the future,” Horan added.
