The marketplace is currently developing its talent and inclusion strategy

Lloyd’s has appointed Sara Gomez as its new chief people officer (CPO).

Gomez initially joined Lloyd’s in July 2021 as its head of people transformation. In December 2021, she was then appointed interim chief human resources officer and a member of the Lloyd’s executive committee.

Prior to her tenure at Lloyd’s, she worked at fintech Greensill, where she created its people function during a period of high global growth. Gomez has also previously worked as people director for menswear retail company Moss Bros, following seven years at Direct Line Group.

In her new role, she will focus on developing Lloyd’s talent, leadership and inclusion strategy.

Making a ‘valuable contribution’

Lloyd’s chief executive John Neal said: “I am delighted to confirm Sara in the new role of chief people officer at what is an important time for the Lloyd’s corporation as we develop our talent and inclusion strategy.

“Sara is a proven leader and in the short time that she has been at Lloyd’s, she has already made a significant and valuable contribution.”

Gomez added: “I am excited to be continuing my career with Lloyd’s.

”It is an iconic brand and I see a tremendous opportunity to develop our talent and inclusion strategy even further as we strive to make Lloyd’s a magnet for the very best talent in financial services.”
