The latest hires are ‘instrumental’ in achieving the broking group’s strategic goals, adds chairman

Recently established broking group Lucida has made two new appointments to its senior team.

The new hires include Simon Pearce joining as chief executive of its broking division and Insiyah Davenport becoming Lucida’s new group chief risk officer.

Pearce will be responsible for leading and growing the group’s distribution business – focusing on the organic growth of its existing lines, developing new lines the business does not currently serve, as well as identifying and delivering new acquisitions.

Over the past two decades, he has held various leadership roles – including at Gallagher, Giles Group and Brightside Group.

He has also served on the International Brokers’ Advisory Board at Biba and as a board member at Polaris.

Shared vision

Davenport, meanwhile, will be responsible for overseeing regulatory and compliance risk management and governance at the group.

She brings more than 20 years of insurance industry experience to the role, specialising in risk and compliance.

Davenport has also held senior risk and compliance roles in a variety of insurance companies, including HSBC Insurance Brokers, Barbon, HWF Partners and the Ardonagh Group.

Lucida chairman Ian Owen said: “We are delighted to welcome Insi and Simon to the group. We have a very clear vision for Lucida’s future and these appointments are an important step forward.

“Together we are creating a supportive, people-focused group that enables the highly successful brands within the group to achieve new heights.

“Simon and Insi absolutely share in this vision and will be instrumental in achieving our strategic goals.”

Right Choice Holdings rebranded as Lucida to form a new broking group in September 2021 – its businesses include Right Choice Insurance Brokers (RCIB), Bennetts and Moorhouse.
