’By working closely with Open GI, we’ve delivered an integrated solution that removes operational friction and allows brokers to trade travel insurance in the same way they trade other personal lines products,’ says managing director
Open GI and travel insurance MGA Etc Insurance have teamed up to offer fully integrated travel insurance to the UK broker market for the first time.

Delivered via Open GI’s mobius policy administration system, the proposition enables brokers to quote, bind and complete medical screening for travel insurance entirely within a single platform.
This removes the need for brokers to leave their primary systems or redirect customers to third party medical screening journeys.
The travel insurance panel is currently available to selected brokers, with a broader market rollout planned throughout 2026.
Ian Rogers, managing director at Etc Insurance, said: “The UK travel insurance market has been underserved in the broker and intermediary space for some time, with brokers having to exit their main operating platforms to obtain quotes and complete medical screening.
“By working closely with Open GI, we’ve delivered an integrated solution that removes operational friction and allows brokers to trade travel insurance in the same way they trade other personal lines products.”
Product features
The panel will support both single trip and annual multitrip policies, alongside cover for activities, cruise and winter sports travel and flexible geographic regions.

Product features include unlimited emergency medical expenses cover, cancellation cover of up to £10,000 per person, no upper age limit on single trip policies, annual trip durations of up to 90 days, variable excess options and a broad no change of risk approach for medical conditions.
All products are backed by A rated insurer capacity.
Nick Giddings, director of distribution and partners at Open GI, said: “Being able to offer brokers something genuinely new that combines panel choice with a significantly improved operator and customer experience is extremely exciting.
”A key differentiator of the solution is the inclusion of fully embedded medical screening within mobius. Brokers can complete the entire customer journey in one place, without re-keying data or managing multiple systems. Early results have demonstrated meaningful reductions in quote and transaction times, improving efficiency for brokers while delivering a smoother experience for customers.”
