Broker Hood Group has appointed Scott Williams as head of pet to drive growth in its pet insurance book.

In his new role, Williams will lead the pet function, overseeing the day-to-day management of pet business. He will also have ownership of the profit and loss (P&L) and delivery of the operational growth strategy.
He will work closely with Bruce Reid, chief commercial director, and the senior leadership team.
Reid said: “Williams’ appointment reflects both the significant opportunity we see in the pet insurance market and the continued strength of leadership talent across the group.

Building on foundations
Williams joined Hood Group in 2025 within the business development team. Prior to this, he spent a decade at veterinary charity PDSA.
