‘Travel insurance can often be complex for customers to understand, but it is essential that they have suitable protection,’ says chief executive
Biba has renewed its member travel insurance scheme, delivered in partnership with Jackson Lee Underwriting (JLU).

Biba said the scheme allows members to offer a “value-added range of travel insurance products” to customers that require “cover for leisure holidays, extended stays, sports trips, working holidays and business travel”.
The scheme includes options for individuals, families, groups and sports teams, offering package travel cover, emergency assistance support and the option to add gadget cover and winter sports provisions.
New to the scheme is the addition of cover for business travel insurance, which the association said “provides enhanced coverage by automatically including personal travel for all directors and their families when travelling together”.
Range of enhancements
Nick Mohan, joint managing director at JLU, said: “We are delighted to renew the Biba travel insurance scheme, introducing a range of enhancements designed to deliver better outcomes for customers.

“These include the addition of a digital wallet and air doctors to help mitigate travel delay and medical claims, alongside broader improvements that streamline support and responsiveness.
“At a time when travel insurance is under increased regulatory scrutiny, these updates reinforce a commitment to innovation, resilience and providing brokers with a robust, customer-focused solution.”
Graeme Trudgill, chief executive at Biba, added: “Travel insurance can often be complex for customers to understand, but it is essential that they have suitable protection. This scheme offers members access to a specialist scheme with a comprehensive range of travel insurance products to suit the varying customer needs.
“We are pleased to renew this popular scheme with JLU who have continued to develop the scheme in response to members and customers’ needs.”
