At the start of the week, Biba confirmed that Iain Anderson had joined its board as a non-executive director.

Then, QBE promoted Hannah Wilkinson to underwriting manager for motor trade in the UK, succeeding long-serving leader Iain Bickers, who has retired after more than 15 years in the role.

Based in Leeds, Wilkinson will work on QBE’s motor trade portfolio and report to Jon Dye, director of underwriting for motor at QBE Europe.

Following this, Covéa Insurance announced that Xavier Laurent had been appointed as its new chief executive, succeeding Georges De Macedo.

After that, Inshur added former ManyPets co-founder and chief technology officer Guy Farley to its UK board of advisors.

Farley will advise on Inshur’s technology roadmap, which is centred on artificial intelligence and the autonomous vehicle market.

Rounding off the week, Davies appointed Adam Warwick as its new group chief information officer.

Warwick previously served as group chief technology and product officer at Bravura and has also held chief information officer roles at both Aviva and Zurich. He will join Davies in early October, reporting to group chief executive Dan Saulter, and join the group executive committee.
