RAC Financial Services, the joint AXA and RAC venture, has made its first strategic moves in the motor insurance market.
The company is set to launch a new motor insurance panel aimed at providing motorists with tailored insurance. The panel will extend RAC's offering by sourcing products from a wider pool of insurers.
At the same time, RAC Insurance Direct will be rebranded as RAC Insure as it attempts to cement its position in a competitive marketplace.
AXA director Lee Gladwell said: "The new arrangement is a significant business opportunity for RAC Insure, delivering increased opportunity for growth."
In a bid to provide a consumer-focused offering RAC Financial Services has teamed up with intermediary BDML Connect Ltd. BDML will run liaison and 'back office' support for RAC customers.
Managing director of RAC Jason Richards: "We will be making it easier and simpler for consumers to find appropriate cover."
