Governance commitee entering its second year

Willis Building, London

Willis Commercial Network has re-elected Gaunt Group managing director Roger Gaunt as chair of its governance committee.

The governance committee was set up a year ago. It has eight elected members and three Willis representatives and meets every quarter to discuss the networks’ strategy and activity.

Willis Commercial Networks managing director Sara Fardon said: “Willis Commercial Network is a member led network and we encourage all our members to have their say. The Governance Committee provides the ideal forum in which to do this and provides our members with a strong sense of ownership.”

“Over the past year Roger has worked tirelessly on behalf of the membership. This has included travelling up and down the country to make presentations, to meet with senior stakeholders within Willis and to hold discussions with insurer partners. We look forward to Roger’s ongoing chairmanship of the committee.”

Gaunt said: “Being part of the committee the past year has given members a greater understanding and appreciation of the detailed work Willis Commercial Network do on our behalf and for our benefit. We have clear insight into the various projects and robust mechanisms to track progress and give input. I very much look forward to the next 12 months as chair.”
