Royal & SunAlliance UK Commercial has announced the national roll-out of Enterprise – a new service centre for brokers that produces quotes in under ten minutes and policy documentation within 48 hours.
The multimillion pound investment will see new centres opening in Glasgow in May, Leeds in June, and Hertford in July.
From the end of the summer, brokers nationwide will have access to Enterprise and its five core products: shops, vans, business, contractors and offices.
The new service centres follow the Birmingham model and are staffed by a team of experienced underwriters with decision-making authority and using state-of-the-art systems.
The scheme is aimed at the 3.5m small businesses in the UK with a turnover of less than £1m, a market RSA says it has targeted for future growth and development.
The inaugural Birmingham service went live to Midlands brokers in October last year. RSA says that pre- and post- surveys show that broker satisfaction has "increased significantly" as result of the initiative.
Following the initial launch, 82% of brokers claim Enterprise has made their lives easier, with the speed of quotes and policy documentation the main areas of satisfaction.
RSA's small business manager Simon Cooter said: "Enterprise is a giant step towards our stated objective of becoming the market leader for small business insurance in the UK."
He added: "Brokers told us they wanted slick, fast and efficient service provided by underwriters with decision-making authority. This is exactly what Enterprise is – it's all about making life easier for brokers and their customers."
