Montpelier Re has announced that Wilbur L Ross has been appointed to the board of directors.
The appointment was effective after an additional 3,448,276 common shares of the company were acquired by two investment funds managed by WL Ross & Co LLC.
Ross is currently a director of Mittal, the steel company that merged with International Steel Group in April 2005.
