In a LinkedIn post, Davey said he is ’happy and proud to share’ the news

Lee Davey has announced that he will be becoming Partners&’s new chief executive for the South.

Davey co-founded the broker in 2020, with him having held the role of managing partner for the South West over the last four years.

Prior to Partners&, he served as the regional managing director for Jelf Group – his career has also seen him work at Towergate Insurance and Hill House Hammond.

In a LinkedIn post, Davey said that he was “happy and proud to share” that he would be starting his new role as the Southern chief executive for Partners&, which he began in April 2024.

Values

Speaking to Insurance Times in 2023, Davey said that Partners& was organised around a set of core values that were integrated into the structure of the business.

These core values are people focused, Davey noted, and are concerned with treating both clients and staff as “people, not processes”.

“When firms are focused on the process and not people, it becomes very dull and grey,” he said.

“We’re a people driven business and the question for us is how do you innovate to keep clients front and centre in a changing world?”

Davey said that keeping clients at the forefront of what Partners& does was about making sure they understand the products they purchase.

“My approach is we can get to the price, but whether the policy is effective and it’s going to make your business resilient in the event of an incident is what I’m concerned about,” he said.

“We’ll ask clients challenging questions about the first things a chartered loss adjuster would go for in the event of a major incident – they may not always like you challenging them, but invariably they do in the end because they know you have their best interests at heart, as a partnership should be.”
