’Our unique digital offering allows trades to pick the right cover for their needs,’ says partnerships director
Digital broker Superscript has teamed up with Toolstation to offer the retailer’s customers access to a new insurance offering.
The offering is designed to safeguard tradespeople and includes covers such as public liability insurance, employers’ liability insurance, contract works cover, tool insurance, as well as accident and illness cover.
It is available to customers through the Toolstation Club. After signing into the club, members can access the insurance offering on the rewards page.
Chris Other, customer director at Toolstation, said: “We put tradespeople at the very heart of our business and this partnership means that Toolstation can offer insurance solutions that meet their real-life needs, giving them confidence that they are covered for every job.
“Many are small business owners or sole traders and they need the right protection in place and by partnering with Superscript it means we can offer them insurance that protects their tools, their business and provides accident and illness cover.”

The partnership comes after research from Superscript revealed one of the biggest challenges for trades is tool theft.

Data showed that 53% of tradespeople said replacing their tools, if stolen, would cost them over £2000. For one in four tradespeople (22%) this estimate doubles to over £4000.
Henry Newby, partnerships director at Superscript, said: “With this partnership, Toolstation Club members will benefit from the support of our clever tech and expert team to get the right cover for their business, fast – online or offline.
“Our unique digital offering allows trades to pick the right cover for their needs – and make changes as they grow, whether that’s expanding their team or taking on new jobs.
“Through this partnership, Toolstation is building on its already strong foundations as the go-to destination for everything a tradesperson needs to run their business.”
