’I’m stepping into the role of managing director for Motor Repair Network at a very exciting time,’ says new appointee
Former Covéa Insurance UK chief executive Adrian Furness has been appointed as the new managing director of Motor Repair Network, a statement released yesterday (11 September 2023) revealed.
Motor Repair Network is Activate Group’s specialist insurance division and provides accident management services to customers.
As the firm’s new managing director, Furness said he will have the responsibility of creating a proposition that combines technology and “service excellence to deliver even greater value to the insurance industry”.
“I’m stepping into the role of managing director for Motor Repair Network at a very exciting time,” he added.
”The more I get to know the business, the more impressed I am with the range and quality of its services and the capability of the team.
“I can’t wait to get started.”

Furness stepped down from his role as the UK chief executive of Covéa Insurance earlier this year (19 June 2023).

He joined the insurer in 1995 before becoming its top boss in July 2021.
He will take up his role with Motor Repair Network and Activate Group later this year (2 October 2023).
Activate Group, which is made up of companies that specialise in accident management services, said he was joining the firm at a time of growth.
For example, the business has enhanced its digital claims offering with the development of damage assessment apps to streamline the claims process.
In 2019, it also announced investment in its own body shop division, Activate Accident Repair.
