Jensten Group has appointed David McMillan as the new non-executive chair of its board.

McMillan was most recently the chief executive at Esure, although stepped down from the role in September 2025 after Ageas UK acquired the firm from Bain Capital.
He takes on his new role at Jensten Group after Bain Capital went onto acquire the firm on 28 November 2025.
McMillan said: “I look forward to working with the Jensten Group team and continuing my relationship with Bain Capital.”
Second appointment
McMillan is joined on the board by Andy Homer, who stepped down from the Brown and Brown Europe board in 2024.

He brings extensive experience building, leading and chairing high-growth businesses across the financial services sector.
McMillan said: ”I have known Homer for many years and our combined energy and experience will be put to good use as we contribute toward growing Jensten Group into a top performing business.”
Homer added: “This is a fantastic opportunity to help support the chair, chief executive, Jensten management team and the investors to create the premier insurance group in the UK.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
