Luke Mardell, client relationship manager at RDT, talks about the company’s submission for the Claims Partner of the Year category
1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the Claims Partner of the Year category?

We entered the Claims Partner of the Year award because our work with Somerset Bridge Group this year shows what real partnership can achieve.
Together, we automated key parts of their claims process, cutting manual work by 30% and speeding up payments to customers. We made life easier for claims handlers, reduced reliance on third parties and improved accuracy across the board.
This project sums up what RDT is about – listening, collaborating and building technology that makes everyday work simpler and more effective. Entering the award is a chance to celebrate that shared success.
2. What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?
Our entry stands out because it’s about genuine teamwork that’s made a visible difference.
With Somerset Bridge, we worked side by side to replace manual tasks with smart automation, freeing up time for teams to focus on customers. We didn’t just hand over a product – we stayed involved, adapting the solution as the business grew.
The result is faster claims, smoother operations and happier staff. We should win because this partnership shows what can happen when technology and people work together with a shared goal to make claims better for everyone.
3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?
Winning would mean a lot to our team.
It would recognise a year of real progress with Somerset Bridge Group where collaboration and trust have turned challenges into improvements that stick.
It would also celebrate the people behind the technology – the teams who listened, tested and delivered changes that made claims faster and easier to manage. For RDT, it would be confirmation that our partnership-first approach works.
For our clients, it would show that working with us means honest collaboration, reliable results and technology that keeps getting better.
